Jays Care Foundation Raises $1,500 for Tempus International

Toronto, Canada - The Toronto Blue Jays “Jays Care Foundation” teamed up with volunteers from Tempus International at the Blue Jays home game against the Los Angeles Angels at the Rogers Centre on Friday, August 21, 2009, to raise funds for the youth literacy programs run by Tempus International.

Nearly $1,500 was raised for each of Tempus International and the Jays Care Foundation through a 50/50 draw.

Tempus International is a Canadian-based charity that works to promote sustainable development by organizing literacy and education projects that provide opportunities for underprivileged youth to get ahead in life. Its largest program is “The Mighty Pen” a bi-annual writing competition for over 15,000 youth in Nepal. For more information please visit: www.tempusinternational.org.
